LYRICS

SONG TITLE: JUDGE YOU by LAKESJAY CHORUS: No matter how I shout I no fit change you, but I was hoping that this my little message go fit break you; If you had a heart e suppose prick you, if you do us well make God sef judge you (x2).
VERSE:
Every chances to progress the government wanna halt, so long it doesn’t raise their pocket they don’t care to put a stop, the only gift they ever give is keep alive our sores by sprinkling them with salt and yet they tell us not to talk.
YO…this is freaking revelational, I know it’s unconstitutional; so I ain’t speaking to excite you I’m only pouring out my bleeding heart.
You daily compensate the bandits yet deny the youth of jobs, tons of graduates on the street lurking around seeking lucky shot; well it’d be a testimony if they get that which they want, I mean.. get the lucky shot, rather than getting some bullet shot.
But then you ain’t really concerned of course that’s pretty cool to you, I mean these fellas ain’t your children so it doesn’t bother you, so many pains are bottled up; countless words, unspoken truths, words that cannot be uttered without a second Lekki shoot. So we decide to wrap our pains, redefine it, call it cruise; even though we bleed within and nurse ourselves of salient bruise.
Taught me to be loyal and honest yet you kill me for my honesty, you don’t even practice what you preach y’all are just a bunch of hypocrites. The same way you told me to believe that there is strength in our diversity, yet you tear us apart behind the veil of your ethnicity: orchestrated our infirmities, took us from our families, exposed us to cruel reality and deny us our faith in calvary!
You tell me to fight for my country but my country ain’t even fighting for me, rather my country’s sapping me, taking life way outta me, and when I look at the future I keep wondering what’s left for me!
No amount of rain can wash our dear bloods off the street, there’s no pardon for your sins I’m not Jesus so I can’t forgive..you, you thought you shut us up for good well I bet you never did, cause a lot of (lotta) armies are still rising larger than you’ve ever seen.
Now the youths ain’t really smiling guys are obviously frustrated, they subscribe to different vices since the government wouldn’t help them, they do all sort of shit that they never really intended, truth is you’d still be bitten by these monsters you created! REPEAT CHORUS
