After a spectacular run in 2022 with releases like Omo Ope featuring Olamide, Sungba, Peace Be Unto You (PBUY) and of course, his critically acclaimed debut album Mr Money With The Vibe, Asake is back and out to own 2023. This time, he churns out a new single titled 'Yoga'.
“Now, it was a challenge because me and Magicsticks had to make sure that sonically it wouldn’t sound too retro,” Asake tells MuchMusic LessTalk.“Writing the record was easy but producing it to make it fit was tough. It was worth it in the end“. The song is layered with harmonious silky background vocals- synonymous with Asake’ unique sound as he sings effortlessly, passionately, and with confidence.
Yoga is produced by his partner in crime, Magic Sticks. It is Asake's first single for 2023 and his first official output since he dropped his debut album. The song is complemented by a big-budget music video directed by the usual suspect, TG Omori.
